Life Cycle Power, a leader in innovative and turnkey power solutions, proudly announces the acquisition of 8 SMT60 and 4 SMT130 power generators, expanding its ability to deliver reliable and efficient energy. This strategic addition strengthens the company’s position as a key player in the power generation industry, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable and rapidly deployable energy solutions.
The newly acquired fleet will contribute a total of 110MW of scalable power in the beginning of Q2 2025, addressing the growing demand for backup power, bridging power, and emergency power solutions. These generators set a new benchmark in efficiency, flexibility, footprint, and rapid installation- ensuring immediate and high-quality power solutions for various industries.
Life Cycle Power currently owns and operates approximately 1GW of power generation which, among other models of turbines, includes a significant quantity of both the SMT60 and SMT130’s. These new additions add overall capacity in 2025 while leveraging Life Cycle’s in-house service capabilities and inventory. All new equipment can parallel with existing fleet to provide power solutions into the 100’s of MW’s. Beyond expanding our fleet, we continue to invest in critical balance-of-plant infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, and gas equipment, ensuring a seamless and fully integrated power solution for our customers.
Designed for superior performance and mobility, the SMT60 and SMT130 generators offer great efficiency and deployment speed. The SMT60, delivering 5.7MW of power, features a compact 9ft x 56ft footprint and can be installed within four hours without the need for a crane. With multi-fuel capability and low emissions, we're prepared for any situation.
The SMT130, a more powerful unit generating (16 MW output), boasts a streamlined 10ft x 91ft footprint consisting of 2 trailers. This model can be fully operational in less than 24 hours without the requirement of a crane. The SMT130 offers multi fuel capabilities and low emissions options to meet regulatory standards.
“This acquisition is more than just an expansion of our fleet – it’s a testament to our commitment to delivering turnkey power solutions with innovation, efficiency, and reliability,” said Thomas Riggs, CEO of Life Cycle Power. “By adding additional SMT60 and SMT130 units, we are not only increasing our power capacity but also enhancing our ability to provide fast, flexible, and cost-effective energy services when and where they’re needed most.”
With this significant expansion, Life Cycle Power solidifies its growth strategy for 2025 and beyond, remaining at the forefront of the industry by delivering high-performance turnkey power solutions that redefine energy standards nationwide.
