Both bring a wealth of leadership experience from across the utility, regulatory, and investor communities that will help guide the development of Technosylva’s solutions, as well as assist its customers in deploying them to better manage risk. Their exceptional knowledge of the electric utility industry, federal policies, regulatory frameworks, liability issues, and the internal operations of utilities is already guiding Technosylva’s accelerated growth, as it expands its position as a leader in catastrophic risk management and simulation software to meet the growing needs of electric utilities and insurance providers.

Tom Kuhn brings to Technosylva over 30 years’ experience working in the electricity industry. He served as President & CEO of the Edison Electric Institute from 1990 till his retirement in 2023. Prior to joining EEI, he was president of the American Nuclear Energy Council, which subsequently merged with the Nuclear Energy Institute. Currently, he is President & CEO of Global Energy Advisors; serves as Chairman of the Board of Anterix, Inc; and joined TerraPower’s Board as an advisor in January 2024.
Tom remains very engaged with the electric utility industry, serving as Senior Advisor to Energy Impact Partners; on the board of the United States Energy Association; and was Chairman Emeritus of the Committee of 100 of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He was recently appointed to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Electricity Advisory Committee.

Bob Rowe brings to Technosylva a wealth of guidance from a career across multiple sectors. Bob served as CEO of Northwestern Energy from 2008 until retiring in January 2023. Currently, he is a Venture Partner with The Westly Group and a Senior Advisor to Guggenheim Securities. He serves as a member of various boards, including Chair of the American Gas Association (AGA) Foundation Board; the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Institute for Energy Transition Advisory Committee; the EEI Global Executive Leadership Network; and as a Senior Fellow at the University of Florida Public Utility Research Center.
Previously, Bob served on the AGA Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He served on the EEI Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He co-chaired both EEI’s Institute for Electric Innovation, and its CEO Committee on State Policy and Engagement. He also served on the Western Energy Institute (WEI) Board of Directors and is the Past Chair of its Executive Committee.
