CAMBRIDGE, MA & LINDEN, IN – Tipmont Rural Electric Membership Corporation has partnered with Sense, a leader in grid edge intelligence, to provide its members with real-time, actionable energy insights through the Sense Home app. By integrating Sense Core technology into its Landis+Gyr Revelo® smart meters, Tipmont is making it easier for its members to manage their energy use, reduce costs, and achieve their sustainability goals.
The Sense Home app gives Tipmont members a deeper understanding of how their homes use energy by providing a real-time view of electricity usage. Members can monitor which devices are on or off, track how much energy specific appliances are consuming, and access personalized recommendations to help them make smarter energy choices. With this level of visibility, Tipmont members will have the tools to reduce their energy use and take meaningful steps toward lowering their energy bills.
“We’re always looking for ways to bring our members more value and help them take control of their energy use,” said Ron Holcomb, President and CEO of Tipmont. “The Sense Home app delivers a level of insight that’s never been available before, empowering our members to make informed choices that can save them money and be more energy efficient.”
What the Sense Home app will offer to Tipmont members
- Real-Time Energy Monitoring: Members can see how much energy their home is using at any moment, right from their smartphones, so they can make changes in real time.
- Device Detection: The app identifies and tracks the energy usage of individual devices in the home, from refrigerators to HVAC systems, helping members understand where their energy is going.
- Actionable Insights: Members receive tips tailored to their energy usage patterns—like advice on using appliances more efficiently or shifting energy use to lower-cost times.
- Savings Opportunities: The Sense Home app identifies hidden energy waste, helping members take action to lower their bills without sacrificing comfort.
- Easy-to-Use Design: A clear, intuitive interface with customizable alerts and notifications makes it simple for members to stay engaged with their energy use, even if they’re new to smart home technology.
For Tipmont members, the Sense Home app provides more than just data—it delivers actionable guidance that makes saving energy part of everyday life.
“Sense is bringing a new level of transparency to home energy use by leveraging the power of next generation smart meters,” said Mike Phillips, CEO of Sense. “By partnering with Tipmont, we’re putting the power of real-time energy insights into the hands of their members, giving them the tools to make their homes smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable.”
