The industry-leading utility consultancy, TMG, an RIA company, announced it will enhance its offerings with a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) division of services for utilities. This is based on TMG’s recognition that the rapidly emerging and unfolding industry variables and disruptive forces introduced by the explosion of AI in the market has resulted in the need for evidence-based analysis, advice, and recommendations to our clients in the AI arena.
TMG is committed to meticulous use case definitions, seamless customer journey mapping, and robust integration between utility enterprise systems. We aim to empower utilities with AI-driven tools to effortlessly manage complex functions, leading to improved satisfaction and reduced operational costs and enhancing engagement and team capabilities.
“AI technologies are having a moment in the utility industry. In almost every area of our practice, we are seeing that most utilities who haven’t already embarked on their AI journeys are seriously considering doing so in the near future,” said Mario Bauer, CEO of TMG.
Heading up the AI division of the company, will be TMG’s Sudeep Kappadan. Sudeep is a leader in IT Strategy Development, Program and Project Management, and Solution Delivery, combining utility industry domain knowledge with technological acumen to help utilities maximize value from their technology investments. Sudeep has successfully led complex portfolios of technology projects involving digital transformation, business-technology alignment, and project turnaround. Prior to taking on this position, Sudeep held the role of Executive Vice President of Advisory Services for TMG Advisory.
“AI has the ability to shift traditional paradigms and transform almost every aspect of the utility’s business, from revenue cycles to customer experience, asset operations, cybersecurity and beyond. As an industry-leading consultancy, TMG takes our utility Advisory work extremely seriously and will continue to vet, investigate, objectively evaluate, and constructively recommend the best AI pathways and solutions for utilities to adopt into their Enterprise Technology Plans, their Solution Roadmaps, and their Sourcing and Procurement initiatives, to enable their operations and to drive customer engagement and satisfaction. This increasingly includes AI as part of every conversation,” stated Kappadan.
Mario Bauer noted, “This initiative is not just about adopting AI technology; it is about transforming how external and internal customers of utilities interact with and understand their service providers. Our goal is to ensure that we can facilitate a deeper connection and comprehension through our collaboration, ultimately driving more informed and personalized customer experiences.”
