The Utility Imagery and Inspection Consortium (UIIC) will partner with the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies (AEIC) Data Analytics Council at their upcoming summit, which will be held on February 26 at the Orlando Convention Center. The UIIC Summit will be held on day one of Distributech 2024 in partnership with Clarion Events.
The Summit will be kicked off by keynote speaker Amelia Rose Earhart, who will weave in her learnings and experiences on being the first single-engine pilot to fly around the world successfully and will do so while making comparisons to what utilities are facing now. We will also hear from representatives of Exelon, PPL, SDGE, and other utilities about their journey using imagery.
The core foundation of the partnership between AEIC and UIIC continues to focus around:
- Advancing the use of technology to improve the safe, reliable delivery of electricity.
- Providing a venue to build and nurture relationships between thought leaders in the utility industry, primarily around transmission, distribution, and the data needed to impact change around inspection practices.
- Delivering forums and content that help the utility industry better address challenges and capitalize on opportunities for modernizing the grid.
“This partnership with AEIC has proven to be extremely valuable for our consortium,” said UIIC Executive Director Ken Maness. “We’re thrilled that the AEIC Data Analytics Council is joining us for our 2nd annual summit at Distributech, and we look forward to future opportunities with this excellent association.”
“We are pleased that AEIC’s Data Analytics Council is collaborating with UIIC on this event,” said Steve Hauser, AEIC’s CEO. “The collection and analysis of data is a critical capability that is increasing the operational effectiveness of our industry.”
