Already deployed with the City of Chicago and numerous leading smart cities and utilities around the globe, the TerraGo IoTOps platform was designed to rapidly deploy, monitor and manage large-scale, multi-platform IoT systems.
Washington, DC, December 15, 2020 – TerraGo Technologies announced today the availability of TerraGo IoTOps, the newest generation of their zero-code IoT software platform for smart cities and utilities. The launch includes the latest release of TerraGo StreetlightOps, a cloud-based field application tailored to the specific requirements of smart lighting operations and maintenance. The Gen 5 version of TerraGo StreetlightOps has already been successfully deployed to support the Chicago Smart Street Lighting Program, which recently won a Smart 50 Award for the integrated systems and operational capabilities delivered by TerraGo.
“TerraGo StreetlightOps has been an invaluable asset to our smart street lighting initiative in Chicago,” said David Reyes, the Superintendent of Electrical Operations for the City of Chicago Department of Transportation, during a recent Smart Cities Connect event. “By integrating our systems, we can work smarter in ways that were never before possible. For example, by correlating service requests from citizens and system alerts, we can consolidate work orders, improve our response times and lower operations costs by reducing truck rolls.”
The key to TerraGo’s success is at the core of the platform where TerraGo’s integration Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) unifies data from different back office systems. TerraGo enables an IoT operations center capability which presents a “single pane of glass” view of the entire digital infrastructure. TerraGo’s iPaaS allows customers to stream data across multiple systems introducing powerful efficiencies and extending features to field crews in ways never before possible. With iPaaS, organizations can integrate platforms like GIS, CRM and asset management with IoT central management systems, so field crews can tap into location, inventory and customer data while maintaining infrastructure. This enables location intelligence, diagnostic-driven workflows and on-demand control of IoT infrastructure that off-the-shelf field software cannot deliver.
“The TerraGo StreetlightOps application has already made such a significant difference to so many of our customers in completing their smart street lighting projects. This new architecture was designed from the ground up to make it easier than ever to customize field applications and integrate systems to streamline deployment and operations,” said Dave Basil, President & CEO at TerraGo Technologies. “Every city and utility has unique requirements, systems and workflows which are absolutely essential for their success. We created a framework that helps us rapidly build, deploy and operate applications to meet those requirements.”
TerraGo’s software is helping deploy and manage some of the world’s largest smart lighting and IoT initiatives with over two million end points under management for customers including Commonwealth Edison (ComEd), the City of Chicago, the City of London, the City of Glasgow, Jamaica Public Service (JPS) and many more.
