Progress Energy Florida completed an environmental hurdle last week for its proposed Levy County nuclear plant.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission concluded in its environmental impact study that there were no environmental impacts sufficient to preclude granting Progress Energy its needed combined licenses for construction and operation of the proposed plant, according to an NRC press release.
