When Turkey Point Units 3 and 4, south of Miami, are taken offline for refueling this year, Florida Power & Light can bring them back with power outputs about 15% higher.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's permission means each reactor's production may go from about 700 MWe to about 823 MWe.
Unit 3 is due for refueling soon. Unit 4 is scheduled for later this year.
