The U.S. nuclear power sector received a boost recently with the passage of the bipartisan Advance Act, which could accelerate deployment of advanced reactors among other impacts, though some analysts have raised safety concerns with the legislation.
The bill comes amid significant federal funding announcements so far in 2024 to bolster the U.S. nuclear fuel supply chain, support small modular reactors and back existing reactors, among other measures.
