Construction on the Broken Bow wind project in Custer County, Nebraska is complete and will begin commercial operation in several weeks. The $145 million wind project, operated by Edison Mission Energy, is capable of generating up to 80 MW of energy. The Nebraska Public Power District will purchase all of the power produced under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
