The US Department of Commerce confirmed Thursday that it intends to slap tariffs on Chinese solar panel imports and named companies it intends to charge.
The decision further riled up continuing disagreement in the U,S. solar sector, where some companies and advocacy groups say the tariffs reflect the unfair levels of support that Chinese panels receive and other groups warn that no good can come of continued reliance on government protection.
