“It is an exciting time to be in the utility business, and I know that our employees are ready for the many opportunities that lie ahead,” new CEO James Laurito said. “From investing in the utility infrastructure that is so key to the future of our region to seeking innovative ways to control costs and improve service, our employees remain committed to our customers."
Laurito joined Central Hudson in 2009; before that, he was president of New York State Electric & Gas and Rochester Gas & Electric Corporation.
Exiting CEO Lant believes it is the right time for a transition. “With all of the commitments related to our successful merger with Fortis having been met, and the winding down of our unregulated businesses nearly complete, I feel that this is the right time for me to retire,” he said.
